Little Things: The Snooze Button

Workout: 25 min total-body weight lifting + 1.6mi in 15 min run

The snooze button: the greatest invention ever made or your frenemy???

Last night I had to force myself to go to bed by 10 PM. I was tired and totally zonked out as soon as my head hit the pillow. Seven glorious hours later, my alarm rang :(

I knew I slept well, but somehow I'm convinced that those 10 extra minutes after your alarm first rings are the best! I hit the snooze button and enjoyed them fully!

Then I woke up and had to cram the weight session + run in a tiny little time slot. After all, it was one of the days I wash my hair so I had to cut my run short. I felt really good afterwards, so I am so happy the snooze button didn't trick me into an extra hour of sleep!

Side note: I have really fine hair that's been through the highlight ringer. Plus, I live in a desert. Needless to say, my hair is really dry!

I'm trying to bring it back to life by only washing it 3x/week, no hair drying or heat styling and using a deep conditioner the night before I wash it. Not sure if this will work, but would love to know if any of you know of any good hair tips? Please, my hair implores you for some tips!

Off to relax!

ADios!

I love that you said it was a day you wash your hair! I wash my hair every other day, as well. It takes a bit of time to "adjust" but it will get there. Unfortunately, I live in humid as heck Indiana and I haven't had dry hair so I can't give you any advice there.

Great job on squeezing in the workout!

Hi Cynthia! I am sorry but I have zero hair advice. My hair is thin... and I don't have much of it... and if I DON'T wash it every day I look like a grease ball! It's not pretty. I can say that my hair as seen a bit of a blow dry and straighten reprieve since moving to Spain. Actually, come to think of it... I haven't used my straightener once. Yay for less humidity!

@Kristen - Anywhere There's An Airport

Thanks for trying Kristen!

I actually have really oily hair too but have found that just washing the bangs or a baby+baking powder mix works wonders on days that I really can't wash work pretty well.

I guess I'll just have to give it sometime!
