Coo-Coo for Coconut

Yay, I think I got a full 7 hours of sleep last night!!! I didn't read though, I was so tired I just wanted to lay there and give my babies lots of kisses!!! I'm sure Dulci & Abacus were not complaining!

I caught the end of VH1's 40 Most Slimmed Down Celebs. It just amazes me how even celebrities, with nutritionists, trainers (and the time to train) struggle with the same issues we all do.

I guess I just have to learn to take the battle of the bulge one day at a time and try to make the best choices I can each day!

Breakfast

Today, I had a cantaloupe and yogurt smoothie for my pre-workout snack. I added a bit of coconut to give it a special flavor and wouldn't you know it, I went Coo-Coo for Coconut! I only added about 2 Tsp, but it added so much flavor to the smoothie. It completely hid the fact that I didn't add any sugar to it at all. I guess a little goes a long way.

After my workout, I had planned to have my steel cut oats with a slice of bread. However, my manager brought in freshly made bagels to work and I couldn't resist. I opted to have half of the Orange-Coconut bagel (a very good choice) and the steel cut oats. Picture below:

I also ended up having half the nectarine as a pre-lunch snack, so I wouldn't be starving by the time I got home for lunch. It seems lifting weights really revs up my hunger!
